Leslie McKay England passed away suddenly at home on August 26, 2015 at the age of 85. Les was born on the family farm in the Cardross district on July 26, 1930 and was raised in that area. After working on various farms in his youth, he moved to Moose Jaw as a young man and worked for Moose Jaw Hardware for a few years. He then began a career in car sales with Elliott Motors, Western Dodge, and Band City, retiring in 1990. He married Marion Hildebrandt in 1958 and they raised two sons, Shannon and Curtis. Marion passed away in 1988. Les married Judy Dalrymple in 1993. He loved to golf and watch hockey, and was an avid Toronto Blue Jay and Maple Leaf fan. Predeceased by parents, George and Emma (nee Williams), siblings: Jack (Winona) Williams, Violet (Bill) Smith, Ben (Betty) Williams, Charlie (Maxine) Williams, Lloyd (Phyllis) Williams, Ivor (Emma) Williams, George (Lorraine) England, and Fred England; and daughter-in-law Sandra Schmirler. He is survived by his wife Judy; sons Shannon, and Curtis (Sandra); granddaughters Sara and Jenna; Judy’s daughters, Candy, Kathy, and Jill and family; along with many extended family members. The Celebration of Les’ life will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on Tuesday September 1, 2015 at 3:00 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Memorialization will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. For those so wishing, donations to the Sandra Schmirler Foundation, or to a charity of choice, would be appreciated. In living memory of Les, a memorial planting will be made by W.J.
