Phyllis McLaughlin

McLAUGHLIN, PHYLLIS
At Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph Hospital, Perth-Andover, August 28, 2015, Mrs. Phyllis McLaughlin of Limestone Siding passed away at the age of 87. She was the wife of Arthur McLaughlin. Born at Morrell Siding in 1927, she was a daughter of the late Myles and Ella (Plant) Morrell.
Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife for over 69 years; a caring and supportive parent for 68 plus years during which time she taught school for nearly 30 years between Grand Falls and Perth-Andover, NB. Although she endured many health issues, she remained uncommonly active being a provider in so many ways. At the same time she enjoyed hobbies and sports including: dancing, fishing, skiing, skating, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and walking. She also accompanied Arthur in hunting, golfing and travelling. The family very much enjoyed her cooking. She had a very strong faith and attended St. Paul's Anglican Church at Limestone Siding for as long as her health permitted.
She is survived by her husband, children Dale (Stella McCarthy) of California Settlement, Darrell (Floranne St-Amand) of Saskatoon and Ann (Jerry McQuade) of Medford, son-in-law, Scott Goodine of Debec, grandchildren, Ivan, Blair, Mark, Neil, Nicole, Gabriel, Matthew, Sherry, Michelle, Rebecca, Sarah, Richard, Hope, Victoria and Jacob, 23 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Victor Morrell of Wakefield and Wendell Morrell of Ontario, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Jean Baker (late Stephen Baker) and Dawn Goodine, grandson, Chad McQuade, brothers, Hubert, John, Merton, Lorne and Bernam Morrell.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Friday, September 4th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. She will also be resting at the Amazing Grace Pentecostal Church, Limestone Siding on Saturday, September 5th from 1 to 2 p.m. Her funeral service will be held from the church on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ranall Ingalls officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery.
