Age 63 years, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2015, in Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building, QEII, Halifax.
Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., he was the son of the late Harrison and Dorothy (Stewart) Yates.
Wayne worked at the Nova Scotia Hospital for 35 years until his retirement. He will be missed by many co-workers who became close friends over the years, especially his "angel" Shannon Negus.
He is survived by sisters, Anne Crook, Mary Lou Gallant; brothers, Freddie, Barry and Arnold. He is predeceased by a sister, Marie, and brother, Harry.
Cremation has taken place. No service as per Wayne's wishes. Arrangements entrusted to Dartmouth Funeral Home, Queen Street.
We would like to thank Rev. Arthur Cuzner for his many visits and prayers. Our thanks and appreciation also to the many doctors, nurses and home care staff who took excellent care of Wayne during his long illness.
