William 'Billy' Boutilier

Billy passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015.
Born in New Waterford on Jan. 7, 1943, he was the son of the late Robert and Phyllis (Simms) Boutilier.
Billy is survived by his common law, wife of 29 years, Theresa Russell; his children, Marion and John, both of New Waterford; Robert, Toronto; stepson Arthur (Shirley), Sydney; his grandchildren, Lyndsey, Blaise, Christina, Nicole, AJ; great-grandchildren, Ava, Audrey, and special great-grandson, Kayden. He is also survived by his two brothers, James 'Teddy' (Cecelia), Sydney, Kenny (Peggy) Donkin; aunt, Gladys Miller, Sydney, as well as many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the VON nurses as well as the palliative care for the care and support given to Billy. We would also like to thank Russell and Sharon for the drives back and forth to his appointments. Thelma and Dave for Tim Horton’s coffee every day.
Thanks to all our family and friends who were there through all the hard times as well as the good times. Billy was very grateful and loved each and every one of you.
Cremation has taken place. At Billy’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
He wanted everyone to remember him as the happy go lucky man who loved life.
