John 'Jack' MacDonald

It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the passing of our dear father Jack MacDonald, Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Loch Lomond, he was the son of the late Angus and Catherine (Munroe) MacDonald.
Jack was a truck driver by trade and was a long standing member of the Truckers Association.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and going out to suppers.
Jack is survived by his daughters, Judy (Tony) Pratts, Toronto, Laura MacDonald (Larry) Balls Creek, Leslie MacDonald (Kevin), Sydney Forks, Jean MacDonald (Joe), Island View; his 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; his sister, Moralene, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Janet (MacArthur) MacDonald, (2006), son, Allan K. MacDonald, (2001), daughters, Jaqueline Marie and Janet Mae both in infancy; sisters, Helen and Mary Beth; brothers, Hughie K. and George.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015 at the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. A reception to follow.
