MADDEN, DENNIS JOSEPH
Dennis J. Madden, 64, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, September 7, 2015. Born in Stellarton, NS, he was the son of the late Francis “Frank” and Patricia (Burchell) Madden.
Dennis will be sadly missed by his wife of 38 years, Diana (Cameron) Madden; sons, David Madden (Liza) of Calgary, AB and Darren Madden (Claire Gillivan) of Halifax; grandchildren, Cameron, Jack and Stella; mother-in-law, Theresa Cameron of Sturgeon, PE; brothers and sisters, Mary Mueller (Heinrich) of Oldenburg, Germany, Robert Madden (Lavonah) of Malignant Cove, Antigonish, NS, Michael Madden (Brenda) of Halifax, NS, Helene Marchand (Gene) of Dartmouth, NS and Patrick Madden (Betty Mae) of Stellarton, NS; many nieces and nephews.
Dennis had a successful 31 year career at Allstate Insurance. He enjoyed reading, playing pool, was an avid golfer and curler. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially being a grandparent, and being among his numerous friends. Dennis was a private and humble man who devoted himself to helping others.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), with visiting hours on Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Dominion St. and Mountain Rd., on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 12:00 noon, with Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the Mass. Interment, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Cemetery, Stellarton, NS.
