Mary passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home at the age of 100 years. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered by her children: Shirley (Gus) Ledrew, Rita (George) Specker, Joan Miller, Dorothy (Reg) Pafford, Betty Tipple, Jim (Brenda), Rose Reade, Kathy (Bruce) Thorpe, Laura (Clem) Lasaga, Helen (Chris) Kelly, Joe, Madonna (Claudio) Addis and daughter-in-law Minnie Power. She will also be remembered by her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Augustus; son Martin; sons-in-law Harry Tipple and George Miller. Mary leaves her family and friends with many memories to be cherished, namely her witty humor. In keeping with Mary's wishes, cremation will take place. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Chapel, 167 Country Road on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 1 p.m., from where the Service of Remembrance will take place at 3 p.m., officiated by Deacon Andrew Wight. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. The family wishes to send a sincere thank-you to the staff of 2nd floor South at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre for the care of their mother.
