Sidney Peach, age 71 of Victoria Haven Nursing Home, Glace Bay passed away on Monday, Sept. 7, 2015.
Born in Dominion, he was the only child of the late James and Jean (Slaunwhite) Peach.
Sonny enjoyed walking. After a long illness, he moved into Victoria Haven Nursing Home in 2009. Sonny was very happy and content at the nursing home.
He is survived by many cousins; especially, Valerie (Peach) Boutilier who took care of him for many years.
Sonny was predeceased by his loving wife, Theresa Peach in May of 2005 and several aunts and uncles.
We would like to thank Victoria Haven Nursing Home for all the compassion and love shown to Sonny.
Cremation has taken place. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Vernon Reid is Thursday, 11 a.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay followed by interment in St. Anne’s Cemetery.
Donations in Sonny’s memory may be made to Victoria Haven Nursing Home or the Mental Health Association.
