ATWOOD, Stanley “Bruce”, 76, Oak Park, Shelburne County passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born at Oak Park on February 3, 1939, he was a son of the late Ralph and Mysie (Davis) Atwood. He was a mechanic most of his working life. Working on old cars was his passion. He was a member of the Oak Park Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was an avid Blue Jay fan. He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara Wournell; son, Stanley, Oak Park; daughters, Cathy (Steven), Baccaro, Marilyn (Frederick), Barrington; brother, Ted (Marice), Oak Park; sister, Miriam (Ralph) Thompson, Pugwash; grandchildren, Chris, Sheri, Jeremy, Jessica, Brandon; great grandsons, Nash, Caden. Besides his parents he was predeceased by son, Douglas Ralph, brothers, Freeman, Ralph Jr. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m., Sept. 11, 2015 at the H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday from the H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, Ted Atwood officiating. Burial will be in the River Dale Cemetery, Riverhead. Memorial donations may be made to the Seventh Day Adventist Church or the S.P.C.A.
