It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mother Mary Rose Dupont, 57, on Tuesday, Sept, 8, 2015, peacefully, at home.
Born in North Sydney on May 8, 1958, she was the oldest daughter and child of the late Alex and Rose (Pearcey) Dupont.
She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 19, North Sydney, for many years, where she enjoyed playing darts with her friends. She loved going to dances there as well.
Mom was loved by many people, and she loved all her family and friends.
She leaves behind her companion David Strickland, and her three children, David (Wanda), Angela (Troy) and Shawn (Michelle). Also left to mourn are her grandchildren, Anthony, John Thomas, Michael, Brianne, Baby Troy; step-grandchildren, Caitlin and Alicia; siblings, John (Betty), Brenda (Malcie), Pauline (Eddie), Sandy (Kathy), Tommy (Joanne), Linda (Joe), and Debbie (Don) as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her Cockapoodle Chloe, who was her little buddy.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
Donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to a charity of one’s choice.
