John Topping

With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of John (Jack) Topping on Sept. 4, 2015. Jack was born the youngest son of Frederick and Emily Topping on January 5, 1929 in Prince Albert, SK. A great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his family, he leaves to mourn his wife of 64 years, Joan (nee Furminger), sons Michael (Mary Ann), George (Debbie), Bill, Roger (Debbie) and daughter Sandra (Frank) Shortt, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Lucy. Jack was an adventurous man, always creating and building new businesses, traveling the world in later years, volunteering his knowledge, and forever keeping us all entertained with his stories. His compassion and caring for other people was apparent in everything he did and he always touched the lives of anyone who knew him. In lieu of a funeral, a private family ceremony will be held. We thank everyone involved in his final days to make it a loving and peaceful time for him to leave us.
