The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Community Hospital, O'Leary, on Thursday, September 10, 2015, of Eric Francis Cornish of Duvar, aged 69 years, husband of Ruth (Rayner) Cornish. Born on September 14, 1945, in Carleton, Lot 6, son of the late Alfred and Margaret (Boulter) Cornish. Loving father to Boyd (Karen), Mary (Terry) Clements, and Blake (Susan). Grandfather to Karli Cornish, Emma Clements, Mackenzie, Madison, Mia and Makayla Cornish. Step-grandfather to Patrick, Cynthia, Nicholas, Curtis and step-great-grandchildren Sophia and Dustin. Eric is also survived by sisters and brothers Rankin (Jean), Beulah Saunders, Glendon, Joyce Bryan, and Jimmy along with his mother-in-law Katherine MacDonald and his brothers- and sisters-in-law. Eric was predeceased by his parents, son Eric, daughter Kelly, father-in-law Ray Rayner, brothers Ralph, Scott, three baby brothers in infancy, sister Ruby. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O¹Leary, with visiting hours on Sunday, Sept. 13, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Monday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow in West Devon United Church Cemetery.
