Passed as peacefully away as he had lived his life, at the age of 92, only ten years short of his targeted 102 years, William James Adams of St. John's. Left to mourn his parting and to celebrate the strength, joy, love, and compassion that he offered all those who touched his life: his sons Paul (Heather Skanes), Gerard (Joan Barrett) and Tony (Kelly Burton), grandchildren Riley, Joel, Kieran, Jennifer, Matthew, Kathleen and Carolyn, and great-grandchildren, Sam, Adelaide and Imogen Moss, Miles and Grant MacDonald, and Audrey Adams, along with his special friend Sheila Vincent, brother-in-law Bert Hannaford and a goodly number of nieces, nephews and friends. Bill is predeceased by his first wife, and mother of their children, Kathleen (Hannaford), his second wife Joan (Maddigan-Healey), and his two brothers John and Michael. He will always be remembered for his teaching and example... his good nature and his smile. We are most fortunate to have had him, and all that he was, with us for so long. Much good will live on because of him. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church, internment to follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
