Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on September 12, 2015 at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her parents James and Anna Bassett; sisters Marion Bassett, Dorothea Bailey, Mary Molloy (Peter), and Katherine Breen (Peter); brother James (Claudine); and nephews David Bassett and Peter Breen Jr. Left to celebrate her life is her brother-in-law Don Bailey; nephews Wilf Casey (Elizabeth - Deceased), Kevin (Cathy) Breen, John (Eleanor) Breen, Noel (Patsy) Breen, and Danny (Ann) Breen; nieces Judy (Arnie) Furlong, Bibby (Pat) Dempsey, Mary Lou (Rod) Hall, Mary (Randy) Purchase, Dot (Craig) MacLaughlan, Cathy (Ian) Steer, and Jane Paxton-Bassett; 25 great-nieces and nephews, including Kelly Ann Breen who provided special care to Anna; 17 great-great-nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends. Visitation from Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Patrick's Mercy Home.
