DOUCET, JOSEPH ALFRED

Joseph Alfred "Duke", age 83, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Moncton, NB and Dearborn, Michigan, passed away on September 3, 2015. He was born on August 7, 1932 in Campbellton, NB, son of the late A.J. "Fred" and Irene Doucet of Moncton, NB.
In his youth "Duke" was an outstanding baseball pitcher, playing for the Lewisville Keefe Cubs (1951-54) and he once pitched a perfect game. His team was enrolled in the NB Sports Hall of Fame in 1989. He was an avid motorcyclist, fisherman and golfer.
He was employed with Ford Motors in Detroit, Mi, and retired in Venice, Fl.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Delores "Dee"; his three sons Kevin (Martine), Marc, and Peter (Charlena); three brothers Maurice (Ann), Raymond (Beulah) and John (Judy); grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
