It is with great sadness that the family of the late CHARLOTTE MALLAY of Marystown announces her passing at the U.S. Memorial Health Care Centre in St. Lawrence, on Friday, September 4th, 2015, at the age of 96. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are son, James Mallay (friend, Eileen Emberley) of Marystown; daughters, Linda Chadwick (Mike) of North Carolina and Karen Holmes of Toronto; sisters, Betty Thorne of St. John’s and Patricia Lake (Howard) of St. Lawrence; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, John Joseph Mallay; daughter, Viola Marie Mallay; brothers, Horatio, Wesley & Ernest Clarke; sisters, Isabel Farrell, Margaret Noberall & Bertha Stone; parents, Pearl & Joseph Clarke.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Monday, September 7th, at 10:30 a.m. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown. In Charlotte’s memory donations may be made to Daffodil Place (70 Ropewalk Lane, P.O. Box 8921, St. John’s, NL A1B 3R9) or flowers gratefully accepted.
