John James (Johnny)
Passed peacefully away on September 17, 2015, John Maynard, much beloved son of the late Madge (Donovan) and Jack Maynard. Age 64 years. Formerly of Flatrock, long-time resident of Cherry Lane Manor in CBS. Left to mourn along with his family - staff and residents - at his personal care home, are his sisters: Jeanette (Nash) Slaney, Flatrock; Dot (Jim) Eustace, Torbay; Noreen (Glenn) Pike, Grande Prairie, AB; Anne (Dan) O'Leary, Fort McMurrary, AB. Brothers: Michael (Linda), Airdrie, AB and Paul (Mary), Grande Prairie, AB. Also, cousin and special friend, Catherine Edwards and his aunts: Dorothea and Ann Donovan, Irene Donovan and Lottie Donovan. Special "Aunt" Madeline Maynard. Uncles: Bill (Molly) Donovan and Doug Skirving. Twelve nieces and nephews and nine great-nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and other relatives and friends. Loved by all who met him, John enriched our lives with his personality, especially his sense of humour and his love of traditional music. Waking at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday, September 20, from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Michaels's R.C. Church in Flatrock on Monday, September 21 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at a later date.
