Cyril was a lifetime member of the Petty Harbour Fishermen's Cooperative and the Society of United Fishermen (SUF), including serving terms as the Grand Master of the SUF. A devoted member of St. George's Anglican Church throughout his life, Cyril has requested that in lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a memorial donation may do so to St. George's Anglican Church, Petty Harbour. His strong faith was reflected through his kindness, strength of character and his zest for life. Cyril's "larger-than-life personality", "loud shouts" and welcoming smile will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family expresses sincere gratitude to all the staff at St. Luke's Anglican Home, the Homecare workers, and also the Doctors and the nursing staff of 6 West at St. Clare's Hospital for their compassionate care given to Cyril during his short time there.
