Terry McNeil Ells - 62, of Woodside, Kings County, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Wolfville, and raised in Woodside, he was a son of Amy (McNeil) Ells, Woodside and the late Hubert Ells. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Patricia "Pat" (Coggins); two sons, James (Brandy Hudson) Ells and Brett (Alexa Forsyth) Ells; a brother, Wilfred (Debbie Reese) Ells; two nephews, Peter and Michael. Terry was a full-time farmer and together with his brother, Wilfred, took over the family farm from their father, Hubert in 1978 and divided the farm in 1996. Terry owns Ellsmere Farms Limited with his wife, Patricia and two sons, James and Brett. Over the years, Terry served on the Kings County Livestock Health Services Board, was a director of CPANS, a director of the Chicken Farmers of Nova Scotia and was the Chicken Farmers of Nova Scotia representative at the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture's Council of Leaders. Terry was also a director and past-president of the Kings County Federation of Agriculture. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2015, Reverend David Taylor officiating.
