Rick was born on September 9, 1956 in Victoria, BC to parents Dick and Marlene. After moving to Seattle, WA, the family moved to the Sunshine Coast in 1967 where Rick attended Gibsons Elementary and Elphinstone Secondary Schools. After graduation, Rick had many different jobs - driving trucks, working in construction, electrical and plumbing - he was a real handyman and could do anything!
Rick is survived by his sons, Casey and Cody of Colville, WA, his nieces, Mandy Burdick (Phillip) of Colville, WA, Robyn Swinburnson (Todd) of Sumas, WA (children Tanner, Maya and Tucker), Taylor Van Wicklen of Colville, WA (children Aianna, Skivan and Sebastian) and nephew, Chance Van Wicklen of Colville, WA. Predeceased by parents, Dick (1996) and Marlene (1991) and sister, Dawn (2010).
Rick and his family will be remembered by many friends on the Sunshine Coast and in Colville, WA.
