Georgie, 89, passed away at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015.
She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Althea Lines, her sister, Alma and by her husband of 64 years, Wellington 'Wellie' in May of this year.
Georgie is survived by her nephew, Stuart MacLeod (Nonie), as well as five grandnieces and one grandnephew.
She was a gracious hostess, a proud Northender and a graduate of Holy Angles High School. Georgie was a life-long member of St. George’s Anglican Church.
By request, there will be no visitation. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the United Way of Cape Breton or to a charity of your choice.
