Passed peacefully away at the St. John's Long Term Health Care Facility on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, Olga Blanche Butler, age 91 years. Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Clementine Seward; siblings: Elsie, Simeon, Edmund and Eric; first husband, Vincent Fitzgerald; daughter, Geraldine Kavanagh; second husband, John Butler; step-son, Glenn Butler; and brother, Hayward Seward. Leaving to mourn and cherish her memory: daughter, Dorothy (Frank) Handrigan; son, Bert (Paula Brocklehurst) Fitzgerald; son-in-law, John Kavanagh; sisters: Jane Smith and Lydia Greene; sister-in-law, Lizzie Seward; step-children: Ken (Daphne) Butler, Wayne Butler, Hedley (Jeannette) Butler, Glenda (Reg) Browne; step-daughter-in-law, Kim Butler; as well as a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Special thank you to niece, Marjorie Hiscock, and as well to the dedicated staff of the Hoyles Home and St. John's Long Term Health Care Facility. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, September 23, from 7-9 pm and on Thursday, September 24, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place from St. James United Church on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10 am, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
