DUNCANSON, James George Melford – age 46, of Gavelton, Yarmouth Co., N.S passed away unexpectedly in Gavelton on September 22, 2015. Born in Yarmouth, he was the son of George and Dale (Hipson) Duncanson. James was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to many. He was a clam digger in his early years, loved the woods and especially his children. He liked working in the woods and made brake pads for farm machinery. James always enjoyed being with people and was always happy to see everyone and was known to be generous and always willing to help friends and family. He is survived by his common-law wife, Falon Crowell; daughter, Rythem; son, Cylis; brother, Mark Duncanson; sister, Meredith Walsh; nieces, Leeah Walsh, Samantha Duncanson; nephew, David Duncanson; great nieces, Hailee and Lilyanna. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Friday, September 25, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service took place Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 1 P.M. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. A.D. “Bill” Newell officiated. Interment followed in Greenlawn Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to his children in trust of Falon Crowell.
