FRED RYAN

Card Of Thanks
Charles Frederick “Fred” Ryan
We, the family of the late Charles Frederick “Fred” Ryan would like to offer our sincere thanks and appreciation to our family, friends, and colleagues for their kindness and support shown to us during our recent loss. A special thank you to Dr. Murdock Smith, the medical staff of the CBRH Cancer Centre, Emergency Room, 4B and ICU, your dedication, professionalism and kindness will not be forgotten. To Lisa McNeil-Campbell, Dr. George Burns, Palliative Care, EHS paramedics, Marion Bridge Volunteer Fire Department and longtime friend Gordon Ferguson, we are truly thankful. To all who helped during his courageous battle with cancer, thank you.
Our thanks for your acts of kindness, visits, telephone calls, words of comfort, sympathy cards, prayers, Mass cards, flowers, memorial donations and to those who traveled from near and far, we were so grateful to have you by our side. It was truly touching to see so many of his former co-workers and fellow skaters in attendance; he would have been so humbled and touched by your presence. We would like to thank Rev. Lydia MacKinnon for her visits, prayers, and guidance during his illness, you were an endless source of comfort and strength. A beautiful celebration of his life and eulogy by granddaughter Kristen Walker truly highlighted what made him such a wonderful man. Readings by Betty Webber and Robert Walsh; musical selections by Sheldon Chant, Michelle Hollohan, and Tommy Mills, were all touching tributes in his memory. Special thanks to his grandson, Steven Walker, for carrying his ashes to his final resting place, and to all of his grandchildren for making a final tribute to their Poppy by placing flowers at his grave. To his friends at the Mira Senior and Pensioners Centre who assisted with the reception and formed the honor guard, we are forever thankful as he cherished your friendship. We took great comfort in the exceptional service provided by Wendy at Chant’s Funeral Home. Our loss has been incredibly sad for those who knew and loved him; however, our family has found comfort in knowing how well respected he was by so many.
