The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, September 26, 2015, of W. Kenneth Sweet, Knutsford, aged 79 years, beloved husband of Betty (MacPherson). Born in Knutsford on January 2, 1936, son of the late Percy and Irene (Ellis) Sweet. Loving father to Janet (Allen) MacIntyre, Summerside; John (Margaret) Sweet, Knutsford; Irma (Harris) Callaghan, Miminegash; Michael (Carrie), Calgary, AB; and Diane (Danny) Murphy, St. Lawrence. Dear grandfather to Colin (Michelle) MacIntyre, Chelsea MacIntyre, Wm. Wade (Katherine) Sweet, David (Terri Lynn) Sweet, Maureen Sweet (Allan Clark), Aaron (Jill Yeo) Sweet, Colby (Maria) Callaghan, Betty-Lynn Callaghan, Lacey Callaghan, Lyndsay Callaghan, Caitlin Sweet, Courtney Sweet, Brett Sweet, Carrie Jane Murphy and Mariah Murphy and three great-grandchildren Hallie, Ciara and Mason. Ken is survived by brothers and sisters Susie Smallman, O'Leary; Mae (Bob) MacDonald, Erin, ON; Amy Platts, Fortune Cove; and Isabel (Winburn) Harris, Knutsford; and by sisters-in-law Thelma Sweet, Knutsford; Janet (Leigh) Vatcher, Summerside; and by his aunt Pansy Phillips, O'Leary. Predeceased by his parents, brothers Samuel, Ellis (Annie), brothers-in-law Herman Smallman and Donald Platts, and his sister Charlotte in infancy.
