Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on September 29, 2015, at St. Patrick's Mercy Home. Predeceased by husband: George Pike; son: Richard; parents: Herbert and Margaret Parsons; sisters: Audrey Schiell and Joyce Parsons; brother: Ches Parsons. Leaving to mourn her children: Stewart (Debbie) of Nova Scotia, Gary (Jean), Bob (Cheryl), David (Cathy) of Nova Scotia, Greg (Joan), John (Elaine) and Jean Kennedy (Perry); twenty-four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; sister: Dorothy Butt of Nova Scotia; brother: Victor Parsons (Madge) of Ontario; brother-in-law: Charles Schiell of the USA and her life-long friend: Helen Nixon, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Peggy was a long-time volunteer of the Multiple Sclerosis Society as well as a long-time member of The Kirk choir. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. Thursday from 6-9 pm, Friday from 1-4 pm and 6-9 pm. and on Saturday from 10 am. - 12 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
