We, the family, are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, grandson, brother, father, uncle, nephew and friend, Tyler Chisholm, on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015.
Born in Sydney Mines on Aug. 28, 1990, Tyler was the son of Nancy Donovan-Chisholm (stepfather Billy Joe Pardy) and Stephen Strickland (stepmother Linda Vance).
Besides his parents, he leaves behind his daughter, Sophie; her mother, Candace Parks; his son Andre and daughter, Alara, and their mother, his girlfriend, Kelsey Laffin. He is also survived by his sister, Nicole Chisholm (Olivia Debison) his nephew, Dominick; sister, Amber Strickland; brother, Travis Strickland; stepsister, Cheryl Ann Lewis; grandfather, Thomas Chisholm; grandparents, Dorothy Stone Gannon and Austin Strickland and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Tyler was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Margaret Chisholm and his uncle, Wayne Chisholm.
Visitation for Tyler Chisholm will be held in J. M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines, on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A celebration of his life will take place Monday, at 11 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Stacey LeMoine officiating. The burial will be in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Tobin Road, Sydney Mines. A reception will be held in Grandy Hall, after the service.
