Mark Boldon

BOLDON, MARK STEVEN
It is with immense sadness that the family of Mark Steven Boldon of Fredericton announces his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 9, 2015. Mark left us peacefully with his family and friends at his side after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Born on August 03, 1962, he was the son of George and the late Joan Boldon of Oromocto. Mark is survived by his wife, Tanya and their daughters, Brett and Annik; his father, George; his brothers, Rex (Louise) of Charters Settlement, Eric (Colleen) of Fredericton and Philip (Janine) of Calgary; his in-laws, Vic and Marilyn Manuel of Baie-Ste-Anne; his brother-in-law, Steve (Leanne) of Kelowna, BC and sisters-in-law, Michelle (Robert) of Stratford, PEI and Krista (Grant) of Bay-du-Vin. Also left to mourn are his Boldon nieces and nephews, Ryley (Mallory), Fraser (Laura), John (Bhavika), Shannon, Darrell, Nick and Maryn; his Manuel nieces and nephews, Justin, Jesse, Jennika, James, Jordan, Hunter, Ava, Sebastien and Sarah and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mark was a man of many fine qualities but his strongest was his love of his wife and daughters who meant the world to him. Pure of heart, Mark was a non-judgemental, non-materialistic man who held dear a simple life. He cherished the outdoors, especially the family camp at Clark’s Point. He was a dedicated and competitive cyclist and played
volleyball at the CIS level. With Tanya, he coached his daughters’ volleyball teams with the Reds Volleyball Club and at Ecole Ste-Anne. Mark was a graduate of both Holland College and the University of New Brunswick where he made a number of good friends, among them his long-term friends from PEI. Mark was to receive his 25-year service
award with the NB Department of Environment and Local Government this year.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, at McAdam’s Funeral Home at 160 York Street in Fredericton from 2 to 4 and 7 to closing. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, at St. Dunstan’s Catholic Church at 11 AM with Father John Carten officiating. A reception will follow at the Monsignor Boyd Family Centre.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Fredericton SPCA, or the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation.

We would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude for the incredible love, strength and kindness shown to Mark by all the wonderful people who supported our family throughout his illness. www.mcadamsfh.com
