Anne Buckle, daughter of James and Kathleen (Cain) Beresford and niece to special Aunt Eileen Cain, left us peacefully on Sunday, October 11th, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Leaving behind her dear and devoted husband of 45 years, John; her wonderful children, John (Andrea) and Amanda (Michael Zimmerman); her treasured grandchildren Riley and Owen Buckle and Noah, Isabella and Alexandra Zimmerman. Also leaving behind her beloved siblings Eileen (Vic Young), Frank (Gladys), Phil (Nina), Jim (Rose), Gerry (Ann) and her sister-in-law Eileen (Gord MacNab). Also missing Aunt Anne are her nieces and nephews Andrew, Kathie, Dale, Ashley, Victoria, Lisa, Alex, Vic, Michael, James, Heather, Katherine, Meaghan and Laura and so many cousins and friends in Freshwater, St. John's, Mount Carmel, Florida, Toronto, St. Brendans and Harbour Grace. Anne came into this world with a giving heart. She chose to be a teacher and her many students over the years talk so fondly about her. She worked for the Churches and communities in which she lived. Anne loved helping not only her family but her neighbors and many friends who called on her over the years. "How can I help?" was her motto. She left the world a better place because she worked so hard and gave so much of herself. Anne's family wish to extend a special thank you to the caring, competent and compassionate staff in the ICU unit at the Health Sciences Centre, especially nurses Marie, and Sarah and doctors Sharon Peters and Michael Hickey and their residents. Anne's family and friends will miss her every day with smiles and tears. God bless you Anne. We know you have found peace. Visitation at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Tuesday, October 13th, 2015, 5:00-9:00 pm; Wednesday October 14th, 2015, 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday October 15th, 2015 at 9:30 am at the Roman Catholic Basilica of St. John the Baptist.
