Anna Louise Bennett, 83, of Whitney Pier, passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Jean (Muise) Mombourquette.
Anna worked at Whitney School with the handicapped and a teachers aid at Mira Road School. She was a member of Holy Redeemer parish.
She is survived by her husband Allan, sons, Allan Jr. (Susan) and Wayne (Susie), both of Sydney, sisters, Paulette (Angus) Pearson, Sydney, Charlene (Hughie) MacDonald, Marion Bridge, brothers, Joe (Betty), Westmount, Leo (Dale), Sydney, Brian (Krista), New Brunswick, grandchildren, Linda, Carrol, Barbara, Mark and Marilyn and a great-grandson Cameron.
Anna was predeceased by her sisters, Joan Hayes, Florence Morrison, Louise MacDonald and Florence Mombourquette in infancy, brothers, Peter, Alex, Louis, Michael and John.
Funeral mass will be held Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Holy Redeemer Church with Rev. Paul Murphy officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Palliative Care.
