The death occurred peacefully at the Kings County Memorial Hospital on October 12, 2015 of Mona Jean (Matheson) MacPhee of Brooklyn. Age 80.
Mother of Daniel Thomas, Lorna and Donna Steele. Survived by sister Ruth Wight. Remembered by grandchildren Jason, Alisa, Christie and Jolie. Also remembered by 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Daniel and Christine (Speed) Matheson; husband and partner of 60 years Lorne (Buddy); sisters and brothers Walter, Effie, Claude and Donalda.
Cremation to take place. A "Celebration of her life" will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 17 from 2-4 p.m. If so desired, donations may be made in Mona's memory to the Brooklyn Cemetery.
