DENTON, MICHAEL
It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Michael Joseph Denton, loving husband of Nancy (Nicholson) Denton which occurred on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1970 in Saint John he was the son of the late Walter Denton and Patricia (Sorckoff) (Denton) Campbell.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by an infant sister Bonnie and step-father Ronald Campbell.
Mike loved his job as a carpenter for the City of Saint John, and worked there for many years. He loved being at his second home at the Three Bears Campground where he worked alongside his brother Tim and friend Steve, being a part of the campground family.
He enjoyed spending time with his family especially reading to his grandson Elliott. He could build anything and was a “Jack of all trades”. Mike also spent good times at Dave Chase’s garage. He loved golf, hockey, MooseLight Beer and hanging out with his dog Moose. His smile and laughter will always be remembered.
Besides his loving wife Nancy he is survived by his son Kurtis Nicholson (Stephanie); daughters Hilary Nicholson (Robert) and Marcia Denton; grandson Elliott Michael James Land; brothers Timothy Denton (Lorri), George Denton (Donna) and Herman Denton (Michelle); sisters Pamela Noel (Jerome) and Laura Lee Denton; mother-in-law Nana Bear Marie; several brother and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews and many friends.
Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday, October 16 from 2 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 17 at 11 a.m.
