Passed away on October 13, 2015.
June is finally at peace now, reunited with her husband and soulmate John Mills, who passed away in 2006. The two are remembered as being destined for each other from birth as they were both born on the same day (July 12, 1933) in Newbury England. John and June moved with their children to Castlegar in 1966, then to Vancouver, and enjoyed their final years living in Gibsons.
June is survived by her son Martin Mills (Jan) of Kelowna, her daughter Sharon Frederick (Rod) of Medicine Hat, two grandchildren, Jennifer and Brendan (Lindsay), and two great-grandchildren, Emily and Levi.
In respect of June’s wishes, cremation and a small private ceremony were held to allow the children to mourn their loss and celebrate her life. The family is very grateful to Anita along with other friends in Gibsons and, most especially, to the staff at Christenson Village.
June and John are finally together again – they will be remembered for their undying love and the gift of life they gave to their children.
