MELANSON, RITA
1920 - 2015
Rita Melanson, 95, of Residence du Marais, Dieppe, and formerly of Lakeburn, NB, passed away on Thursday, October 15th, 2015, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Levi J. and the late Adelma (née: Savoie) LeBlanc.
She was a member of Ste.-Thérèse Parish, Dieppe and formerly Notre-Dame de Lorette Parish, Lakeburn, NB.
She is survived by two daughters: Thérèse Melanson (Cecile Goguen) of Grande-Digue and Simonne (Rhéal) Bernard of Moncton; two sons: Jean-Paul (late Faye) of Moncton and Raymond (Kathy) of Durham, ON; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edouard in 1986; two sisters: Jeanne and Dorice; six brothers: Henri, Edgar, Laurie, Alban, Hervé and Levi, and also by her special granddaughter, Lorraine.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Monday from 7 to 9 pm.
A celebration of the word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, October 20th, 2015 at 11 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
