It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Edward Alexander Moore, age 65, on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in Georges River, on Sept. 27, 1950, he was the son of the late John W. and Joan (MacDonald) Moore. Edward was employed for many years as a fisherman. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his friends. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or.
Edward is survived by his common law wife of 32 years, Mary Parks, Georges River and a number of stepbrothers and sisters. He will be sadly missed by his close friend, Jackie Jardine and his family.
There will be no visitation by request. A funeral mass will be held from St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
