MILLER, KENNETH LLOYD
He lived his life with courage, now he is at peace. Kenneth L. Miller, 72, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, October 19, 2015. Born in Molus River, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Mary (Ward) Miller.
Ken was a Specification Writer at Architects Four Limited with 34 years service, and following was a Private Consultant for several years. He was a member of Uplands Baptist Church, a former Deacon, Choir member, Trustee, Youth Leader and served his church in various other capacities over the years. An outdoors person, his hobbies included camping, cars, snowmobiling and skiing. Ken loved woodworking, golfing, playing the piano / keyboard, his pets, socializing with his friends and spending time with his family, especially his precious grandsons.
Ken will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years, Diane (Wilson) Miller; children, Aaron Miller (Loretta) of Riverview and Julie Miller (Brad Brown) of Moncton; grandsons, Ethan, Owen and Bentley; sisters, Enid Dobson (late Wayne) of Riverview and Valda McMullen (Rev. Christopher) of Saint John; sister and brothers-in-law, Faye Russell (Charlie) of Berryton, Larry Wilson (Don Fuller) of Vancouver and Evan Wilson (Leisha) of Berryton; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, David Miller (1964) and brother-in-law, Wayne Dobson.
Ken’s family express sincerest gratitude to Dr. Fitch and Dr. Schweiger for their many years of professional care. Also, Staff of Driscoll Unit of Extra Mural have been invaluable and so appreciated. Thanks to the Uplands Church family for their love and support.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Gordon James officiating. Reception will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
In Ken’s memory, donations to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
