Surrounded by the tender love of her family, Selena Delahunty (nee Harvey) slipped peacefully away at home on October 21, 2015. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Fred Harvey, her parents in law Joe and DeSales Delahunty, aunt Mary (Nan) Harvey, brother Fred Harvey, brothers in law Eugene O'Brien, Ches Chaffey and Jim Gillespie. Leaving to mourn her devoted and loving husband of over 47 years, Richard Delahunty; her precious children: Maria Delahunty-O'Brien (Scott), Paula Delahunty-Freake (Andrew), Seamus (Millie), Liam, Joseph (Heather), Moya (James), stepson Gerard Swain (Jeanie); her adored grandchildren: Steven (Brandi), Tiffany, Alan, Timothy, Veronica, Claudia, Selena, Seanna, Sarah, Titus; and great-grandson Landon, sisters Regina O'Brien and Lidwina O'Brien, brother Ronnie Harvey (Sheilagh), sisters in law Mary Wheeler (Ron), Sr. Paula Delahunty, Margaret Morry (Jack), Kathy Kiell (Dave), Carmel Chaffey, Claire Delahunty, Josephine Neuman (Brian), Brenda Trickett and brothers in law Brian Delahunty (Shirley) and John Delahunty (Eileen), goddaughter Sheila Fennelly as well as a cherished circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. Selena was a mother to many, a teacher to all, a model of faith and strength and a comfort and support to all those who knew her. Waking at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road 6-9pm Wednesday October 21, and from 10am-9pm Thursday, October 22. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11am Friday, October 23, 2015 from Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road, with internment to follow at Kilbride Cemetery.
