1927 - 2015
Rita Frances Wabb (nee Peddle) RN of Corner Brook passed away peacefully on Saturday October 24, 2015 at the age of 87. Rita will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children Anne Marie of Airdrie, Alberta, Michael (Doris) of Vienna, Austria and John (Susan) of Whitby, Ontario, grandchildren Samantha, Alexandra, Eileen and Bruno, sisters Laura and Mary (Bill), brothers Jim and Joe, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her infant son Joseph, husband Robert, parents Joshua and Mary Peddle and sister Teresa. Rita graduated from St. Clare's Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. As a true artist she shared her flair for colour, the joy of nature and her love of Newfoundland with so many friends and family. Our special thanks to Dr. O'Driscoll and the caring and loving nurses and doctors in the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue Monday 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 27th at 10:30 am at All Hallows Church, Humber Road with Father Edward Terry officiating, cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to All Hallows Parish or the Western Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
