Mary A. Simms
March 2, 1922 – October 24, 2015
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Centre Mary A Simms (formally of Pass Island) in her 94th year. She was predeceased by her parents John and Hannah Touchings, her beloved husband, Fred (deceased 1964), her brother Cyril and sister Myrtle. Leaving to mourn with wonderful memories her children, Fred (Kathleen), Cyril (Sadie), John (Ann), Dennis (Doris), Gordon (Rosemarie), & Minnie (Kevin); her devoted sister Beatrice, Grandchildren, Jason, Bradley, Jodie, Bruce, Kelly, Deon, Alicia, Paul, Stacie, Holly & Justin, 14 great- grandchildren, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and cousins. As per Moms wishes cremation has taken place and visitation will take place Monday, October 26th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques. Funeral services to celebrate her long full life will take place at St. James Anglican Church at 2pm on Tuesday October.27th officiated by Rev. Clayton Billard with internment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis society or to a charity of one’s choice.
