COLIN FRANCIS (FRANKIE) MACDONALD
We, the family of Colin Francis (Frankie) MacDonald, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all who visited, called, sent cards, donations, and sent food during the loss of our wonderful father, grandfather and husband. Special thanks to the nurses of 3rd South (Glace Bay Hospital), Palliative Care, Hospice, EHS Services, and Chaplin Lilly MacDonald. Thanks to the staff of Ferguson's Drug Store who always cared and went out of their way for Frankie. Thank you to Elaine Haighway for your caring and thoughtfulness. To the VON, your care and compassion will never be forgotten. Words can never express our gratitude to the staff of McGillivray's Funeral Home; from including our dog Carlos to driving past our family home one last time for Frankie. Your thoughtfulness will always remain with us. To Fr. Daniel Boudreau, thank you for the beautiful celebration of Frankie's life and for all your kind words and prayers. Thanks to the Eucharistic Ministers, readers, St. Joseph's Choir, and the ladies for the wonderful reception after the funeral. Thank you to the pallbearers and special thanks to granddaughters Heather and Franki for the offeratory. Thanks to nephew Bernie MacDonald who always made time for Frankie. To sisters Catherine Hart and Ann Doucette for always being there for me. To Dr. David Ley for your kindness and excellent care of Frankie, it showed your true generous spirit. "Colin" as you called him, thought the world of you. We will never forget you. To daughters, Tanya (Shawn), and Roxanne (Alex), thank you for your love and caring over the years. You were always there for Da when he needed you. You always made time for him. Lastly, thank you to our neice Karen Ann Hart who lovingly spent many hours caring for Frankie. You are a true blessing.
