It is with great sadness that the family of the late Irene Stella Tobin announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the age of 80 years. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Catherine Frost (Jim Caravan), who cherished the very close bond and friendship they shared; her loving son Danny Tobin; sister Vera (Gerald) Preston; sister-in-law Eileen Whiteway; grandchildren: Kim (Jason) Davis, Robert Tobin, Carla Berke, and Trina Cashin; great-grandchildren: Victoria, Riley, Carter, Regan, and Shelby; her very special friend and caregiver Marie Webb, and a host of extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Felix Tobin and later in life her loving companion Ambrose Blanchard and her brother Harold Whiteway. Friends visited Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will take place today, Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel on Premier Drive with Major Raymond Janes officiating. In keeping with Irene's wishes, cremation will take place following funeral services. Interment will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or the Salvation Army Citadel Memorial Fund.
