ELLS, MURIEL EVELYN
Muriel Evelyn (Chamberlain) Ells of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Tenth St., Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the age of 91. Born in Moncton, NB on July 26, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lillian (Garfield) Chamberlain.
Muriel will be sadly missed by her devoted husband of over 63 years, Edward; her loving children, Wendy McMahon (Sterling), Kevin (Barb), Daryl (Betty), and Robin; precious grandchildren, Ryan (Heather), Tanya (Jeff), Kerry (Jesse) and Sarah; cherished great-granddaughter Lily; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Caroline Ells (late Isaac) and Rachel Warren (late Lawrence); and brother, Andrew (late Dora).
Muriel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a former employee of the Unemployment Insurance, Firestone Distribution and T. Eaton Co. Ltd., but spent the majority of her life at home caring for her family. She was a member of St. George’s Anglican Church, Moncton and St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Brown’s Yard, and a member of the Willing Workers at St. George’s. Muriel enjoyed doing puzzle books, playing cards, watching her shows and hockey on television, listening to the Moncton Wildcats on the radio, and going to the cottage in Main River, but first and foremost, was spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank the staff of Spencer’s for the amazing care, compassion and friendship given to Mom and the entire family.
