It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Arthur MacIntosh, age 74, a former resident of Glace Bay on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015 at his residence, Harbourstone Guest Home.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Malcolm and Mildred (MacNeil) MacIntosh.
Arthur was a very kind hearted man who was loved by everyone who knew him. He enjoyed playing bingo, going shopping and going for drives for ice cream. He also enjoyed visits from family including a special cousin, Judy MacKeigan. He loved cats and enjoyed many pet cats over the years.
He is survived by his sisters, Joan (Francie) MacNeil, Gardiner Mines and Agnes (Harold) Cole, Glace Bay.
Arthur was a wonderful uncle to many nieces and nephews, who adored him and will miss him very much.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his nephews, Malcolm and Jonathan Parsons.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, 11 a.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay with Fr. Norman MacPhee officiating. Interment to follow in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Donations in Arthur’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
