Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving wife, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Center, St. John's, on Sunday, November 8, 2015, John W. Kitchen age 83 years. Predeceased by his parents Hedley and Elizabeth Kitchen; and son David. Leaving to mourn his wife of 59 years Geraldine (nee Wareham); children: Roger (Janet), Lynn (Tom Hurley), Lori (Eric Beairsto); grandchildren: Nicholas, Stephen, Sarah, Michael, and Charlotte; brothers: Hubert (Jennifer, deceased), Harold (Grace), David (Karen) and George (Mary); sister Margaret Thorne (George); and many other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 10, and Wednesday, November 11 from 2-4pm and 7-9 at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue.
