It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing at St. Clare's Hospital, on November 6, 2015, our dear husband and father, Kevin Hayward, of St. Vincent's, S.M.B., aged 80 years. Predeceased by parents Denis and Elizabeth, brothers: Fergus, Cyril (Hannah) & Aloysius and sisters: Rita (Larry) Gibbons, Bessie St. Croix & Agnes (George) Gibbons. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 57 years, Catherine; sons: Gary (Cynt), Denis (Kathryn), Kevin (Michelle), Michael (Elisapee), daughters Anna (Randy) Brown and Janet (Gary) Peddigrew; grandchildren: Kara, Kamiel, Jennifer, Kevin, Tony, Stephanie, Blair, Jeromi, Nicole, Brendon, Colin, Michael, Christopher, Taiann, John, Denis, Garrett & Caitlyn; great-grandchildren: Terrianna, Solomon, Ariana, Dylan, Jordan, Layla, Keegan, Leighton, Catherine, Christopher Jr., Steven, Grace, Saanie and Anna, brother-in-law Philip St. Croix, sisters-in-law Elizabeth Hayward and Margaret Hayward, many nieces & nephews, extended family Valerie and Tony special friends: Linda, Cecil, Anastasia and Josephine and his constant companion Koda. After 32 years working at Wabush Mines, Dad returned home to the life he loved in St. Vincent's. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, his love of Newfoundland music and his love of family and home. Visitation will take place at Father Battcock Memorial Chapel, St Vincent's, on Tuesday, November 10, from 6 - 9pm and Wednesday, November 11, 1 - 4pm; 6 - 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 12, at 11am, at Sacred Heart Church, St. Vincent's. Internment to follow.
