Shirley MacLean, 94, of Sydney, passed away Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Harriss and Maude (Andrews) Palmer.
Shirley had quiet strength and a great sense of humour.
She is survived by her daughter Margaret Steele, Sydney; sons, Gordie (Shirley), Malagawatch, Gussie (Pat), Sydney; sister Geraldine Munroe, Sydney; brother Charles (Linda), Sydney; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband William, daughter Pauline, sisters, Hazel, Ida, Pauline, Irene, Dena, Larkel and a brother Harriss.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015 in Sydney Memorial Chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Mr. Gary Grant officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
