LYNN (LYNNY) CHAMBERS
May 28, 1950 - November 8, 2015
39 years in Woodlands Institution were enough for Lynn. She moved from this hospital, where she had lived since she was three weeks old, into a private residence in Vancouver. Lynn embraced community living and lived her life as a true free spirit. 21 years ago, in this Vancouver home, we first met Lynn. How could we have known 10 years later she would come to share our home in Sechelt and our lives would be forever changed? Lynn was a mischievous (shirts in public were considered optional), energetic (hiking the Grouse Grind) kind of woman, with a beautiful peaceful side. She loved to eat chocolate, pizza and on occasion was known to steal a butter tart. She enjoyed nature, loved to hike and danced to her own music. She touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. In these last few years a seizure disorder took much of what Lynn truly loved from her and ultimately caused her death. Countless times we have been told how lucky Lynn was to have us in her life. We are the ones that were lucky and blessed. Thank you Lynn for allowing us to walk with you on a part of your life journey. You will always be snuggled close in our hearts. We miss you.
With love Lisa, Sean and of course Jasper, too.
