Roméo Thibodeau, 81, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday November 15, 2015 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on March 31, 1934 in Rogersville, he was the son of the late Léon and Flora (Chiasson) Thibodeau.
Roméo was a CN police for 35 years before his retirement in 1988.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Viola (Doiron); four children: Paul (Terry) of Halifax, NS, Lise Cyr (Jacques) of Dieppe, Gilles (Marie-Paule) of Beresford and Marc (Carmen) of Shediac; four grandchildren: Eric, Mathieu, Martin (Elisa) and Janice; two sisters: Noëlla Chauvin (late John) of Montréal, QC, and Léontine Buhrig (Heinz) of Vancouver, CB; one brother, Roger of Toronto, ON; one brother-in-law, Bob Herdon of Arizona; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one sister, Germaine; and two brothers: François and Léo-Paul.
A private funeral service was celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Interment in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
