We, the family of James Kevin 'Jim' Blundon, 72, of Williams Street, Sydney, regret to announce he passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Daniel and Julia (Gillis) Blundon.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Evelyn Lavorchick; grandchildren, Melissa and David; great-grandchildren, Desireé, Abigail, Peyton and Hunter; halfbrother, Nelson Gillis; sisters-in-law, Marie Blundon and Mary Lou Blundon; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his sister, Blanche Blundon; brothers, Ronald and Steve Blundon, halfbrother, Robert Gillis.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday, 7-9 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Hardwood Hill Cemetery on Saturday, 11 a.m., with Mr. Gary Grant officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
