It is with great respect and deep sadness that we announce that Jack passed away surrounded by his loving and devoted family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Jack was born to Alphonsus and Mary Bridget Keough (nee Kerrivan) of Broad Cove (Duntara) NL. Left to mourn with a lifetime of loving memories are his beloved wife Bertha (nee Quinlan of Holyrood), children Keith (Vicki), Melvin, Derek (Lillian), Kim, Perry and Heather (Darrin), grandchildren Rodney (Jessica), Johnathan (Cheryl), Robyn, Mara and great-granddaughter Isla, sisters Donna (Leo deceased), Bernice (Harvey), Millie (Don deceased), numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, close neighbors John and Madeline Adams and a large circle of special friends. Jack was a man of many talents. First and foremost teacher and principal of St. Mark's School, retiring after 38 years of dedicated service. Justice of the Peace. Sergeant Canadian Rangers (retired). Jack also volunteered in many capacities, Executive Member Board of Governors Eastern Community College, Member of the Peninsula's Health Care Corporation and volunteer fireman (retired) to name just a few. Wake services to be held Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Sts Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, King's Cove. Funeral Service to commence Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 11 am also at Sts Peter & Paul Church, King's Cove, followed by a reception and celebration of life at the Knights of Columbus Hall, King's Cove. Jack lived a remarkable life, and will live on in the hearts and minds of those fortunate enough to be influenced by his tremendous spirit. May he rest in peace.
